Media adding

Media adding has to be done by click and drop of files from your hard disk or through a specific menu

It is possible to ignore duplicate files in order to avoid classifying identical files.

Cocoon is able to support many pictures formats like PNG, JPEG, TIFF, EPS, AI, SVG, PSD, GIF, BMP — Text formats: HTML, Text, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Open Office (Writer and Calc) — PDF documents— Video and audio files.
Finally 950 RAW formats are also supported.

An automation process can be put in place in order to quickly add some metadata by default as the photographer's name, a credit, a Copyright,…

Media classification

The customizable categories tree (Thesaurus) allows you to categorize your media into categories and subcategories in order to make the research easier.

It's also possible put in front a category but putting a color sticker on it.

Metadata
Management

While you add media, the support of EXIF, IPTC and XMP metadata standards allows to extract many metadata and by the way save some precious time.
The exclusion of empty words such as ,a,the, this, but, or, therefore, ... is performed automatically during indexing.

Manual editing of metadata allows you to enter your information by unit or by batch.
Metadata templates (recurring values) can be applied to one or multiple elements.
